This week, 22 Tudor Grange Academy Redditch students visited the factory of Coke Cola in Milton Keynes to experience a real working factory for one of the biggest businesses in the world.
The day began with a business overview presentation by the Education Manager Rachel Johnston who spoke passionately to the students about what makes Coke Cola such a successful global brand. Students learnt about the factory in Milton Keynes and were amazed about how quickly a bottle of Coke is produced – a rate of 5 seconds per bottle from materials to product. Students were then led into the factory itself and saw one of the nine production lines in action.
Head of Business Mrs James “This was a wonderful experience for our students and will really help bring our subject to life for our Year 9 students. The methods and terms they learnt today will come up throughout their GCSE and that is what has made this opportunity such a positive experience for them. Thank you to Coke Cola for providing such a great day out”
Jodie Bolter, Principal, Tudor Grange Academy said “It is so important that students get the chance to visit Businesses and to see how their work in the classroom translates into the real working world. It is a great opportunity for our students and we look forward to being able to offer many more experiences”.
